The Digital Scholars’ Lab is a computer lab for specialized research that is located in the Richter Library Learning Commons. It has 12 PCs and an instructor’s workstation. Software programs such as ArcGIS, SPSS, SAS, R/RStudio, Stata, NVivo, ABBYY FineReader, and OpenRefine are installed on all computers. For a full list of software, see the Data Services webpage. Students and faculty can receive personalized assistance on GIS, statistics and qualitative methods, and digital humanities projects and assignments during Lab hours from our GIS & Data Specialist and graduate assistant. A CaneID and password are required to log on to the machines.
Our staff, including statistical and GIS experts, are available for one-on-one and group consultations. For further information, please see Analyze Data.
Outside of Lab hours, the room is available for general computing.
