Instructional Space Use Policy

Purpose

In keeping with its mission, the UM Libraries provides a variety of spaces to support the learning and research needs of students, faculty, staff, and community members. These include open spaces for quiet and collaborative study; group study rooms; reading rooms for distinctive collections; a meditation room; and instructional spaces. Unlike classrooms, which are managed separately by Classroom Management, library instructional spaces are reserved for use by librarian faculty members and academic service partners offering library orientations, training sessions, workshops, and other related services and programs to support the learning and research needs of students, faculty, staff, and community members.
