Care and Belonging

– advance a range of initiatives related to the University’s emphasis on creating a culture of belonging

  • promote the development of team agreements
  • emphasize the importance of diversity to achieving inclusive excellence
  • support the library’s “well-being” program
  • consider the impact of technology on well-being

Libraries Renewal

– promote facilities renovations meeting the needs of a 21st century academic research library

  • make progress on the renovations proposed for the Richter Library in the Master Plan
  • develop a collections storage facility supporting all the University Libraries as proposed in
    the Master Plan
  • encourage renewal planning in each of the subject specialty libraries
  • advocate for these plans with University Leadership, faculty and students
  • develop case statements and talking point documents

Employee Professional Development

– continue to emphasize professional/staff development as featured in the 2017-2025 plan (“Enable the Evolving Workforce”)

  • support the initiative led by the new “AI and Libraries Steering Group”
  • fund and ensure transparency of application processes for the staff professional development program
