In collaboration with Professor McGrath Moreira (Ibis Residential College Faculty), join us for a discussion of World of Wonders by Aimee Nezhukumatathil, the 2026 One Book One U selection. Explore themes of nature, identity, belonging, and curiosity, and connect with fellow readers through conversation and reflection. All are welcome, whether you’ve finished the book or are just getting started.

World of Wonders: A Mindful Outdoor Experience

Join us for a mindful outdoor experience inspired by Aimee Nezhukumatathil’s World of Wonders. Participants will take a moment to slow down, learn about our environment, connect with the natural world, and cultivate mindfulness through reflection, observation, and community. Our lead, Gisele Rocha, is a member of the Libraries Mindfulness and Well-Being Programs, a certified mindful outdoor guide, and assistant director for Creative at the University of Miami Libraries. All are welcome.

Following the discussion, there will be a Q&aA with the audience, and the author will be available to sign copies of the book at the conclusion of the event.
